My father knows the recipe by heart and after years of watching him make it, I picked up the recipe easily. It takes only about an hour to make and it’s enough for about 8 people. I use it for a dinner and then lunches for the week for work. I’ve even frozen it in containers in the freezer since it’s so easy to make and it’s perfect for a night you don’t have much time to cook.

Please note, if you are cooking it in a crockpot, I would suggest to cook the orzo pasta separately and add it to the finished soup.
